Relevancy of Search Images

Our games embed images selected from Google, Yahoo, and Bing search. Are these pictures always relevant?

Rich Web of Information

The world-wide web has trillions of pieces of information on millions of websites. Working with search engines, the Keys platform extracts relevant images to enable learning and game play.

Are the search robots providing relevant clues?

Most of the Time ;-)

Rather than a glass that is half empty, we like to think that the glass is half full. The process is not perfect, but:
  • The vast majority of images are relevant, interesting, and useful.
  • We have noticed that engineers at Google and Microsoft have improved their use of artifical intelligence rules to improve the relevancy of the returned images. The more our users search with these terms, the engineers are automatically prioritized with tasks to improve the results for the most searched words. Thus, we see improving results over time.
  • We have also used our AI engine at Keys to improve the displayed images by term.
  • When the pictures are inappropriate, many users have enjoyed the humor when images describe synonyms. Like an intelligent person playing Pictionary and when presented with a conceptually difficult word, they use a different meaning to convey the word. This is an unexpected feature that illustrates the emergence of neural intelligence.
Inappropriate Images

If you find an image that is not funny and totally inappropriate, please send us email here. Be sure to reference the app title and search term. Thanks.
